Kids' West Allis Reads Family Book Discussion

Kids' West Allis Reads Family Book Discussion In-Person

Kids and their adult caregivers are invited to join us for a special West Allis Reads Book Discussion! Pick up a copy of the 2025 kids' companion read, A Place to Hang the Moon by Kate Albus, then get together with other readers to make crafts, play games, and talk about the book.

What we're reading:

A Place to Hang the Moon by Kate Albus. This uplifting story follows three siblings, William (12), Edmund (11), and Anna (9), who relocate to the English countryside during World War II. Like many London evacuees, they are looking for a safe place to stay during the war. But the siblings have a secret - they are searching for a permanent place to call home. Will their adventures, false starts, and determination lead them to the family of their dreams? Perfect for fans of historical fiction, relatable characters, and readers who enjoy a happy ending. Pick up your free copy of the book at the Children's desk beginning August 1.

This event is part of the 2025 West Allis Reads program. Join us for book discussions, live entertainment, an author visit, and more as we explore The Connellys of County Down by Tracey Lange and the kids' companion book, A Place to Hang the Moon, by Kate Albus.
